Norman K. Denzin (지은이)
University of Illinois(Urbana Champaign)의 College of Communications의 석좌교수이자 학자이며, Communications/사회학/인문학의 교수이다. 그는 다음과 같은 책들의 저자이며 편저자이기도 하다: The Qualitative Manifesto; Qualitative Inquiry Under Fire; Flags in the Window; Dispatches from the American War Zone; Searching for Yellowstone; Identity, Politics and Democracy in the New West; Performance Ethnography; Critical Pedagogy and the Politics of Culture; Screening Race; Hollywood and a Cinema of Racial Violence; Performing Ethnography; 9/11 in American Culture. 또한 그는 The Sociological Quarterly의 편집장을 역임했고, 현재 The SAGE Handbook of Qualitative Research(4판), Qualitative Inquiry, Cultural Studies <=> Critical Methodologies, International Review of Qualitative Research, Studies in Symbolic Interaction 등의 공동 편집장이며, International Association of Qualitative Inquiry의 창립학회장(founding president)이기도 하다.


Yvonna S. Lincoln (지은이)
Texas A&M University의 교육행정학과의 Ruth Harrington Chair이며, 고등교육학과의 석좌교수이자 학과장이다. 그녀는 N. K. Denzin과 함께 Qualitative Inquiry, The Handbook of Critical Indigenous Methodologies, The SAGE Handbook of Qualitative Research(1~4판) 등의 공동 편집장이다. 그리고 그녀는 6권 이상의 다른 책들의 공동 저자, 공동 편집장, 편집장이기도 하다. 또한 Lincoln은 the Association for the Study of Higher Education, the American Evaluation Association의 회장을 역임했고, the American Educational Research Association의 Division J(Postsecondary Education) 부회장을 지냈다. 그녀는 고등교육과 질적 연구 방법론에 관해 100 여개 학술지와 장(chapters)을 단독 또는 공동 집필했다. Lincoln은 질적 연구 방법의 개발, 연구 도서관의 현실과 미래, 그리고 고등교육 관련 여러 이슈 등에서 연구 관심사를 가지고 있다.
